We Are Open – Safety is Our Top Priority!
We’ve reopened in accordance with CDC, O.S.H.A., and State Dental Board guidelines to responsibly resume seeing our patients for regular dental appointments and treatment. We want to assure you of the measures we take to maintain a clean and safe environment so you can continue to receive needed dental care without fear or concern.
At The Dental Center of South Bend (Dentistry and Braces for Children and Teenagers), we begin seeing patients as early as age 12-18 months. Establishing rewarding and lasting relationships with our patients is important to us. We pledge excellence in all we do, and we are looking forward to helping you make the most of your smile now and for all the years to come. Experience the difference with The Dental Center of South Bend (Dentistry and Braces for Children and Teenagers).
We recognize patient safety as an essential component of quality oral health care for infants, children, adolescents and those with special health needs. We are in compliance or exceed infection control guidelines of the federal government for dental health care settings in order to prevent disease transmission from patient to care provider, from care provider to patient, and from patient to patient.
We have routine state inspection of all our radiological equipment and have developed emergency and fire safety protocols, and have annual inspections by township officials.
We also have ongoing quality improvement strategies by the routine assessment of risk, adverse events, and mistakes with a plan for reduction and improvement in patient safety and satisfaction.
All of our staff are licensed by the appropriate state licensing board after fulfilling their educational and examination requirements. They have many years of experience and are required to take continuing education related to their practice, which includes being informed of advances in sterilization and infection control techniques.
We empower our staff to make a difference in the quality of understanding and care they provide our patients. We treat a diverse patient population both culturally and socio-economically. We apply innovative strategies to tackle caries, with the use of silver diamine fluoride and glass ionomer ITRs along with conventional treatment. Our practice proudly blends fee-for-service, Medicaid and pro-bono care. We are personally involved in preventive measures throughout the community and are recognized for our commitment to improving the oral health care of children throughout the Michiana area.
